Singapur ist mit seiner hohen Dichte an Sehensw\u00fcrdigkeiten und effizienten Transportsystem eine ideale Destination f\u00fcr einen Zwischenstopp. Trotz kurzer Wege werden zwei Tage nicht reichen um auch nur ansatzweise alles Interessante zu sehen. Vor allem beim Abendprogramm wird die Auswahl schwierig, da Singapur zu viele Aktivit\u00e4ten und spannende Viertel zu bieten hat um sie an einem oder zwei Abenden hinreichend w\u00fcrdigen zu k\u00f6nnen. Unser Tipp w\u00e4re hier zun\u00e4chst den Einbruch der Dunkelheit an der Marina Bay zu erleben und dort auch die Light Show anzusehen, danach den Nachtmarkt in Chinatown zu besuchen und den Tag anschlie\u00dfend mit einem Drink in einer der vielen Bars ausklingen zu lassen.<\/span><\/p>\n

Vom Flughafen kommend erkundet man das touristische Herz Singapurs am besten von den MRT Stationen City Hall oder Raffles Place zu Fu\u00df. Das Areal ist gespickt mit Sehensw\u00fcrdigkeiten wie den Esplanade Theatres, das Marina Bay Sands Hotel mit der zugeh\u00f6rigen Luxus-Mall und nat\u00fcrlich der ber\u00fchmten Merlion-Statue vor der Skyline des Finanz-Distrikts. Jeden Abend erhellt eine spektakul\u00e4re Licht- und Laser-Show die Bucht.<\/span><\/p>\n

Die Gardens by the Bay verbinden wie kaum ein anderer Park dieser Dimension Pflanzenkunst und modernste Technologie. Wer die Zeit dazu hat, sollte sich nicht nur die Biotope und G\u00e4rten im Au\u00dfenbereich, sondern unbedingt auch die Gew\u00e4chsh\u00e4user ansehen. Vor allem der Cloud Forest Dome mit seiner 35 m hohen Felsenlandschaft inklusive Wasserfall ist atemberaubend. H\u00f6hepunkt der Au\u00dfenanlagen sind die Supertrees, die der Energieversorgung und K\u00fchlung der Anlage dienen und mit einem Skywalk f\u00fcr Schwindelfreie verbunden sind.<\/span><\/p>\n

Die zahlreichen Konsum-Tempel in der Orchard Road bieten ein Shopping-Paradies der Extraklasse. Internationale Top-Labels sind breit vertreten, viele davon in gleich mehreren der Malls. Foodies und Gourmets finden gro\u00dfz\u00fcgige Food Courts ebenso wie hochpreisige Spezialit\u00e4tenrestaurants. Unsere Favoriten sind die topmoderne Ion Orchard Mall, das Orchard Gateway mit seinem Dachgarten, die Paragon Mall und die Ngee Ann City.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kleine Gesch\u00e4fte und M\u00e4rkte, bunte Tempel und Gew\u00fcrzduft pr\u00e4gen das ethnische Viertel Little India. Schn\u00e4ppchen-J\u00e4ger kommen hier ebenso wie Streetfood-Liebhaber kommen voll auf ihre Kosten. Das Viertel bildet einen farbenfrohen Kontrast zum ansonsten eher sterilen Hightech-Image Singapurs. Ein Heritage Centre informiert \u00fcber die Geschichte und Traditionen indischer Immigranten.<\/p>\n

Kampong Glam<\/h2>\n

Das muslimisch, v. a. malaysisch gepr\u00e4gte Viertel Kampong Glam liegt in unmittelbarer N\u00e4he von Little India und ist kaum weniger farbenfroh. Das Viertel ist relativ kompakt, sodass man schnell die wesentlichen Sehensw\u00fcrdigkeiten gesehen hat. H\u00f6hepunkte sind die Muscat Street mit der Sultan Mosque, die au\u00dferhalb der Gebetszeiten auch innen besichtigt werden kann, und das Malay Heritage Centre. Boutiquen, Stra\u00dfen-Cafes und orientalische Restaurants laden zum Verweilen ein.<\/p>\n

Am S\u00fcdende der Pagoda Street trifft man auf den bunten Sri Mariamman Tempel. Weitere wichtige Sehensw\u00fcrdigkeiten sind die Jama Moschee der Tooth Relic Temple und das Heritage Centre. Am Abend findet im Licht Hunderter Lampions ein lebhafter Nachtmarkt statt. In der N\u00e4he zur MRT-Station befinden sich zudem mehrere Malls.<\/p>\n

Sentosa begeistert mit tropischen Str\u00e4nden und einer Unterhaltungs-Infrastruktur aus dutzenden Fahrgesch\u00e4ften und Show-Attraktionen mit sehr unterschiedlichem Preisniveau. Hier sollte man sich vor allem bei knappen Zeitressourcen vorab gut informieren, den Aufenthalt planen und ggf. verg\u00fcnstigte Kombinationskarten nutzen.<\/p>\n
