Luxor unterwegs, u. a. noch am vorletzten Tag vor Einstellung der Routen. Daf\u00fcr gab es aus Sicht des Flug-Maximierers einige gute Gr\u00fcnde: Zum einen sind Flugtickets in den Premium-Kabinen ab \u00c4gypten oft \u00e4u\u00dferst preiswert zu haben, zum anderen vermarktete Qatar Airways die Premium-Kabine zumindest auf der Kairo-Route als First Class, was eine hohe Meilengutschrift (mindestens 200 % + Boni aus Angeboten und Statusbonus) brachte. Vor Abflug aus Doha konnte man zudem die Al Safwa First Class Lounge nutzen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Wir haben im ersten Halbjahr 2017 sechs QR-Fl\u00fcge von\/nach Kairo und Luxor getestet und haben f\u00fcr diesen Review einen durchschnittlichen ausgew\u00e4hlt. Beim getesteten Segment kam ich von einem anderen QR-Flug (Startpunkt war Frankfurt) und konnte die Sicherheitskontrolle beim Transit ohne Wartezeit passieren. Durch das First Class Ticket durfte ich w\u00e4hrend des gut 2-st\u00fcndigen Transfers die sagenhafte Al Safwa Lounge nutzen. In der Lounge holte mich eine Hostess vom Al Maha Service ab und f\u00fchrte mich zum Gate. Qatar Airways hat verschieden konfigurierte A320 im Einsatz. Hier wurde die Variante mit Recliner-Sitzen in 2-2 Konfiguration genutzt, es gibt aber auch einige, die mit Lie Flat-Sitzen ausgestattet sind. Es gibt drei Reihen mit Premium-Sitzen, die je nach Strecke als Business oder First Class verkauft werden, dann folgt hinter einer Trennwand die Economy Class.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Am Gate fragte ich, ob ein Sitzplatzwechsel sinnvoll w\u00e4re um einen ggf. einen freien Nebensitz zu bekommen, was angesichts der voll ausgebuchten Kabine jedoch nicht zielf\u00fchrend war. Das Priority Boarding wurde konsequent durchgesetzt, was den Gate Agenten in Anbetracht der Disziplinlosigkeit der Passagiere gewisse M\u00fche bereitete. Der Sitz f\u00e4llt nat\u00fcrlich gegen\u00fcber den auf der Strecke und vergleichbar langen QR-Strecken h\u00e4ufig eingesetzten Lie Flat-Produkten etwas ab, schl\u00e4gt aber alle uns bekannten A320-Sitze europ\u00e4ischer Airlines. Die Beinfreiheit ist ordentlich und die Sitze haben eine ausgepr\u00e4gte R\u00fcckstellm\u00f6glichkeit. Der Vordersitz ist mit drei Ablagetaschen ausgestattet, in denen vor Abflug neben dem Bordmagazin und Duty Free Katalog auch Schall-isolierende Kopfh\u00f6rer und eine Wasserflasche warteten. Der Fenstersitz ist vorteilhaft, da er zwischen Sitz und Fenster zus\u00e4tzliche Ablagefl\u00e4che bietet. Das Kit enth\u00e4lt Socken, eine ordentliche Schlafbrille und Lippenpflegebalsam. Bei Qatar Airways kann man auch auf kurzen Fl\u00fcgen die Gerichte in beliebiger Reihenfolge und zu einem beliebigen Zeitpunkt bestellen. Die Speisekarte war gemessen an der Flugdauer beeindruckend. F\u00fcr Vegetarier standen zudem im vegetarischen Spezialmen\u00fc (VLML) noch drei zus\u00e4tzliche Vorspeisen und ein indisches Hauptgericht bereit. Ich bestellte, nachdem ich schon auf dem ersten Flug und in der Al Safwa Lounge diniert hatte, nur die Lasagne und den Brotkorb. Ansonsten stand auch im A320 das von der Langstrecke bekannte Oryx Audio-Video-on-Demand zur Verf\u00fcgung. Es gibt einige QR A320 ohne eingebautes Entertainment-System, dort werden in der Premium-Kabine iPads verteilt.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0Der Start erfolgte leicht versp\u00e4tet und der Zeitverlust wurde bis zur Landung nicht ganz aufgeholt.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0Nach dem Start wurden zudem Datteln und arabischer Kaffee serviert. Dieser Service wird nur in der First Class angeboten, normalerweise aber vor Abflug. Danach war der Service zun\u00e4chst ein wenig schleppend, da erst noch die Bestellungen aufgenommen werden mussten. Der zun\u00e4chst positive Eindruck vom Terminal 2 in Kairo \u00e4nderte sich dann bei der Einreise. Es gab keinen Fast Track und ich musste 12 min warten. Noch unsch\u00f6ner: Es dauerte weitere 11 min bis das Gep\u00e4ck erschien und Priority Tags wurden auch ignoriert, die Reihenfolge war eher willk\u00fcrlich. Der R\u00fcckflug von Kairo noch Doha fand im B777 statt, bot also einen Lie Flat Sitz. Der Sitz ist f\u00fcr die Langstrecke mittelm\u00e4\u00dfig, f\u00fcr einen 3-st\u00fcndigen Flug aber ger\u00e4umig und angenehm. Das Men\u00fc war gewohnt umfangreich und die Mahlzeiten waren erneut spitzenm\u00e4\u00dfig pr\u00e4sentiert und schmackhaft. Der Service war effizient und herzlich.
